Optimal sending time

When you create an instant message, an additional setting is available - optimal sending time for the recipients. Optimal time is a unique value that is automatically calculated based on the statistics of email message openings for each specific recipient. The optimal time is calculated regularly - each time a contact makes a new opening, the optimal time is recalculated and refined. Pay attention to the setting of “relevance period ” - the period from 1 to 24 hours, within which the mailing is still relevant. This is the latest possible end date for a mailing from the time it was activated.

The relevance period is useful if the mailing is, for example, limited to the validity period of some offer (for example, you know that the promo code that will be sent in the message will expire 12 hours after the message is activated). When sending at the optimal time, the message may be sent to some recipients much later than 12 hours (based on their opening data). In this case, when setting up the mailing, you should set the validity period to “12 hours” - messages to all recipients will be sent strictly within this time.

Contacts whose individual optimal time cannot be determined (e.g. they have not opened any mail yet) or it is outside the relevance period, the message will be sent immediately after activation.

Note:

  • it is not possible to create a split test for the mailings at the optimum sending time
  • sending at the recipient's optimal time takes into account the recipient's time zone
  • in the Messages list you can see the approximate end time of the mailings (the latest for the last recipient)
  • when sending by optimal time to the uploaded list of contacts the statistics of those who are already in the database will be taken into account (the message will be sent to new contacts immediately after activation)
