Scenario templates
In enKod Newsletters ➔ Scenarios ➔ Create a scenario ➔ Use a template (or Create from scratch ➔ Scenario templates) templates are available:
- welcome
- reactivation of inactive customers
- abandoned cart
- abandoned view
In the modal window that opens, click on the template you need and click the “Use” button.
All required blocks will appear on the canvas. Let's take a closer look at setting up and modifying each of the templates.
Welcome chain
This template uses the initial block Subscription to a specific mailing group. Click on it to select in the right sidebar that appears the mailing group you have created in enKod in advance, upon subscribing to which the contact will start the scenario. Choose the way you want to process duplicates of contacts that fall into the scenario. By default, the “Ignore” condition is set, i.e. a contact cannot be in the scenario more than one instance.
In the main block Sending a message you need to select a pre-created scenario message in the inactive status (appears when a draft scenario message is activated, but either not attached to the scenario or paused). When creating messages in enKod at the “Message Editor” stage, you can use the option of pre-created universal message templates created in the platform by Select a template ➔ All templates / enKod templates.
Main block Pause, in the template is set with the condition “set duration” (by clicking you can change it in the right sidebar in the corresponding drop-down list), it is necessary to specify how many days (minutes/hours/months) the contact who got into the scenario will wait before moving to the next block of the scenario.
In the block Distribution to segments you should select the segment you have created in enKod beforehand. Welcome chains most often use branches for:
- those who opened and/or clicked on the previous message
- not opened, not clicked
Example of segment configuration:
Several selected segments can be used in one block, each setting up a separate branch of the scenario. For the “Did not hit any segment” option, the scenario can be terminated by connecting this block to the terminating block Scenario termination (pressing and holding the LKM while moving from one block to the next) or passing the contacts through another main block Distributions, Pauses, Sending a message.
The enKod welcome template was built according to the following logic:
Reactivation
The template uses an initial block Schedule. Click on it to select, in the right sidebar that appears, a segment you created in enKod in advance, which, when it falls under the conditions of which the contact will start the scenario. Example of a reactivation segment:
Set the regularity with which the segment will be recalculated: every half hour, hour, day, week, month. And designate a start time for the scenario. You can also control the handling of duplicate contacts, by default they are ignored.

The enKod reactivation template was built according to the following logic:
Abandoned cart
The template uses an initial block Schedule. The principles of working with it are described in the section “Reactivation”. An example of setting up a segment to start the abandoned basket scenario:

To display the products added to the basket it is necessary to use dynamic content, details can be read in the section about working with trigger mechanics.

Abandoned view
The template uses an initial block Schedule. The principles of working with it are described in the section “Reactivation”. Example of segment configuration for the start of the abandoned view scenario:
In case a contact falls under the segment conditions of both abandoned cart and abandoned view, it is recommended to send it under the abandoned cart scenario. For this purpose, the above example used the “Not sent any email with an abandoned cart tag less than 5 days ago” restriction, preventing abandoned cart and abandoned view emails from being sent to the same contact at the same time. You can read about how to tag messages and use them for segmentation in the “Message Tags”.
